Athens, Part I

Introducing Socrates and Tobias, two of Toby's hometown best friends from the Jersey 'burbs  just outside of NYC. We met up here in Athens and will be traveling together quite a bit until the end of July.

Walking around Ancient Greece was magificent, albeit having yet another 110°F day! These photos are from exploring the Acropolis (including the Parthenon, Propylaia, and Erectheion), and the Agora (including the Stoa of Attalos, Stoa Poikile, Temple of Ares, and Hephaisteion).

My favorite photo is the one of the old direwolf-looking type dog sleeping soundly against the base of a statue of the goddess Aphrodite from the early 4th century BC.
