The Elephant House

This cafe overlooking Edinburgh Castle is where JK Rowling wrote the early Harry Potter books. It has remained relatively low-key and is reminiscent of a 90s coffee house. The bathrooms are covered in graffiti (literally from floor to ceiling) paying homage to Rowling and Harry Potter. I did not leave any graffiti myself, but if I were to, mine would probably read "Thank you Jo for making my childhood so full of magic!".
